Privacy notice
This notice says what Namah Life keeps about you on namahlife.com, why, who helps us, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
Namah Life is run by Namahlife Ventures Private Limited, 201, Nakshatra Apts, Brahman Society, Murbad R, Kalyan City, Kalyan, Thane 421301, Maharashtra, India.
For anything about your data, write to thenamahlife@gmail.com.
2. What we keep, and why
We keep only what we need to run the site and your account.
- Your account: your username, name, email address and mobile number, and a scrambled form of your password that cannot be turned back into it. We use them to let you sign in and to run your account. We use your mobile number to contact you about your account, and to confirm who you are when you ask for your data or lose access to your email. We do not check your mobile number, and we do not use it to send you offers, SMS or invitations.
- When you agreed: the time you ticked the box at sign-up.
- Birth details and results: the names, dates, times and places of birth you enter, and the Kundali or matching result made from them. We keep them in your account so you can see them again, and we use them to check and improve the accuracy of our results, as the sign-up box says.
- How the site is used: short records such as "a chart was made", linked to your account if you are signed in, or to a random number stored in your browser if you are not. We use them to count use and find faults.
- Your IP address, to stop too many attempts from one place, such as many sign-in tries. It is kept with a counter that lasts from 10 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the action, and is then cleared.
- The waitlist: if you ask to hear when the Store, Rituals and Guidance open, your email address and what you are interested in.
3. How we use birth details
We use the birth details you enter to make the Kundali or match you asked for, to show it to you again, and to check and improve the accuracy of our results. If you enter a family member's details, including a child's, please do so as their parent or guardian, or with their knowledge. We do not sell birth details, and we do not use them for advertising.
4. Who helps us run Namah Life
- Our site is hosted by Hostinger, which keeps the site and its database, and sends our emails, such as password-reset emails.
- Formspree may receive the waitlist form if our own site cannot take it at that moment, and passes your email address to us. It is based in the United States.
- Google Fonts: our pages load their typefaces from Google, so your browser's IP address reaches Google when a page opens.
Links to Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp open those services, which have their own privacy rules.
Sign in with Google (coming soon). When it is offered, and only if you choose it, Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture link. We use them only to create and run your Namah Life account. We do not ask Google for anything else, and we do not share what Google tells us with anyone.
5. How long we keep things
- Your account, birth details and results: until you delete your account. Deleting it deletes your account and your saved results. Records of use stay, without your name or account.
- The waitlist: until the Store, Rituals and Guidance open, then deleted; or sooner, if you ask us to remove you.
- IP counters: from 10 minutes to 1 hour.
When Namah Life moves to its new system: nothing on this site is carried over, including your mobile number. Everyone starts fresh and signs up again on the new system, under its own notice. The data on this site stays with Hostinger until this site is retired, and is then deleted.
6. Your choices and how to use them
- See or correct your data: write to thenamahlife@gmail.com.
- Delete your account: from your account on the site, or by writing to us.
- Leave the waitlist: write to us.
- Withdraw your consent: write to us, or delete your account.
We answer within 30 days.
7. Children
Namah Life is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. As an adult, you may enter a family member's birth details, including a child's, as their parent or guardian.
8. How we protect your data
The site is served only over a secure connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only in scrambled form. Only Namah Life's own team can open the admin area.
9. If something goes wrong
If your data is ever exposed, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
10. What your browser keeps
Our pages set no cookies. They keep a few small items in your browser's own storage on your device. You can clear them at any time in your browser's settings; the site then forgets your choices and signs you out.
- Your sign-in (
namah_tok): a token that keeps you signed in. It is removed when you sign out. - A random number (
namah_anon): links the records of use in section 2 when you are not signed in. It holds nothing about you. - Your language (
namah_lang): English, Hindi or Marathi. - Your choice on the cookie notice (
namah_cookie): accept or decline, with the time you chose. - Your last visit (
namah_last): the time you last used the site, so the opening animation is skipped if you come back within 30 minutes. - Your approximate location (
namah_geo): only if you allow your browser to share your location on the Home, Panchang or Nakshatra page. It is rounded to about 1 kilometre and used to work out the day's Panchang for your place. It stays on your device. - Your Panchang place (
namah_pan_place): the place you chose on the Panchang page. - Your last Kundali or match (
namah_k2_last): the birth details you entered and the result, so the report survives a page refresh. It is kept only for this visit, and is cleared when you sign out, after a time without use, when you close the tab, or when you arrive from another site.
Our admin area keeps its own sign-in token for the visit; it is used only by Namah Life's team.
